My School Essay For Students

Essay

My school essay, thinking of this brings a smile on my face. Everyone, including me, cherish the memories of school. Those were the golden days, that cannot be spent again. A school is a place where a child starts his learning journey. It is a basic ground of training for him. He forms new relationships, comes in contact with a child of different behaviour and sentiments. He forms new ideas and habits.

It is at the school where he prepares himself for the stage of life. Therefore the right type of school and education is of great importance to him. I would be discussing the happenings and happiness I had back in my school days, and most of the people would find some common emotions attached.

In my school essay, I would tell you about the interesting memories, both tragic and joyful. Being a child of the twentieth century, I went to the highly renowned school in my city. My school was neither a “Chota school” nor very big, it was just a normal school, which had three buildings.

The Admission Procedure

Unlike the modern-day lottery system, I was asked to give a test to get admitted into the school. From my school essay, I still remember that day perfectly etched into my mind. The day was the 4th of March, the same day I had my birthday. My father took me to the Principal’s office, where she asked me to read a paragraph from an English textbook. I was very nervous seeing that book.

Since all my siblings were from Hindi medium school, I was not much fluent in English. I looked at my father’s face, he said “Padho Beta”. And I started to read. After that, I was taken to a classroom. There were many children, just like me, dressed in different clothes.

Seeing other kids busy writing the exam, I felt a panic and started crying. The teacher invited me inside the classroom, but I resisted even though she offered me chocolates. My father was called for and he came running to me. I said, “I won’t go without you”.

Hearing that, my father held my hand and took me inside the room. I still remember that he stayed there in front of my eyes until the exam was over. The teacher said the result will be out in two days.

The First Day

Two days after, the results were out. My father came in running towards me and hugged me tightly. He said, “Do your best. Make me a proud father”. I didn’t remember the exact feeling I was having back then. But I was happy to see my new bag and other stationery items.

I was waken up by my mother early that morning. After having my bath and breakfast, I wore the brand new school uniform. My mother helped me tying the shoelace. And I was ready to start my journey of schooling. Back then we didn’t have a bike or a car in our family. My father walked me to school.

We went straight to the principal’s office. There were other kids with their parents. Some were wearing the school uniform the same as mine, while others were still dressed up in casual. My name was called out. I was assigned a classroom 1-A. The peon-lady took my hand and dropped me to my assigned class.

The teacher came to me. She took my hand from hers and introduced me to the class. Everyone greeted me with happy faces. The teacher told me to sit wherever there was an empty space. I searched for a place and found an empty space beside a girl. After a quick introduction from her, I came to know that her name was Neha. She was my first ever friend, which I made on my first day at school.

Dismissal and After School

The school was dismissed at 10:3o AM. My father was standing at the gate to pick me up. After I returned home, I told my mother that the lunch she prepared for me was very tasty. I told her that I made two new friends. I told her how we shared our lunch box and enjoyed eating together.

About My School

The school had a C-shaped building. My school was not that big as schools nowadays are, it had just three buildings divided into three sections. The two sections were, where the classes used to take place, while the other section had all sorts of laboratory and library. It had a big garden in the entrance, with a water fountain in the middle. It had a basketball court, a volley court and a big ground where we used to play football and cricket. There was a common room for indoor games. We had the facility of playing table tennis, badminton and other games such as chess and carom. There were 36 teacher and staffs, including the principal.

School Life

In my school essay, as I said earlier, I would deal with some of my memories from school. Everyone has emotions attached to those golden days. Let’s get nostalgic for a moment.

Punishments

Being a notorious one, I was always involved in mischief. Together with one of my friend, I could be seen standing outside the classroom. I remember some incidents from my school essay.

I and my friends were very tired because we had been practising for the upcoming volleyball tournament. It was the 7th period and we had Mathematics. We weren’t in the mood to study so we came up with a plan. The plan was to take out the fuse from the light board. Since the fan won’t run, one of the students will try to faint in the classroom.

As the teacher was about to enter the classroom I plugged out the fuse and kept it in my pocket. Sooner, everyone began to feel warm, I winked my eye, and my friend fainted. The teacher rushed towards him and took him to the infirmary. I was still unaware of the coming danger.

One of the girls had seen me plugging out the fuse. As soon as the teacher came, she informed her about me and my friends. The teacher found the fuse in my pocket, and five of my friends including were thrown out of the class.

One day I woke up late in the morning. In a hurry, I forgot to have my breakfast properly. Two periods gone, I began to feel hungry. I felt my stomach, trying to say feed me. At the beginning of the 3rd period, I opened my lunch box. The smell spread like some chemical in the whole classroom. I saw everyone staring at me.

My friends ran towards me. I picked one “paratha” for me, and the rest disappeared. We had just begun to munch when the teacher entered the classroom and saw us. We were sent to the principal’s office and asked to write an apology letter.

It was mid of March, the sun was at its peak. We were just a period away from getting the summer vacation. Everyone was so excited that, none had their attention in their books. So one of my friends came up with an idea. He told me that, why not we ring the dismissal bell early? I gave a thought to it and said let’s do it. I asked my teacher to go to the library to fetch some books to study.

The teacher gave me permission. I went out and ran towards the staff room. I peeped inside and saw none inside. Seeing none, I pressed the switch and ran. Everyone came out of their classes and began to march towards the exit gate. To our surprise, the Principal was standing there with anger in her eyes. I began to panic. The teachers had a secret meeting over there itself, decided that since it was too hot, the day was called off.

Failures

I was more like an average student. I hated mathematics not because it was very difficult for me to memorize the formulas. My strongest subject was Physics, and I am still good at it. My academics were good overall, but I lacked in physical education. Coming to physics, I remember an incident which I would like to tell in my school essay.

There was a transfer teacher, who was weird. On the first day itself, he announced that whoever will take tuition from him would get good marks. I was against taking tuition from any teacher, as I preferred self-study. Most of the students started taking tuition from him, except me and my gang.

The terminal exam had started. And to our expectations, the physics paper was the toughest. On the day of paper showing, all the students have passed who used to get tutored by him, except us who never took tuition from him. That day we decided to take this issue to the principal. The teacher, however, convinced her, not to believe on us.

We asked the principal for a re-test to be held, with questions to be set by some other faculty. The teacher hesitated but the principal agreed to it. A week was given to us to prepare. I began to study day and night, not because I wanted to pass but just to prove him wrong. The test was over. And to the surprise, those who used to take tuition from him merely passed, but we excelled.

Inter-School Sports

The inter-school sports competition was the biggest event, said in my school essay. The day starts with everyone on the school playground, practising their respective sports. The atmosphere in the school used to be relaxed, and even teachers too were unloaded of their teaching schedule. We had a cheerleading group which was strictly instructed, by us, to boo the opposition team.

The event started with the indoor games, then the athletics and the deciding events. The field games, aka football, cricket, basketball and volleyball. Our cheerleading did a great job at these events, booing around all the teams and mocking them.

The last game was the volleyball match. The field was set. The decider, who will win the trophy, started. It was getting intense with every set. But we lost the finals by 25-17. Still, we enjoyed these events.

Teachers

All the staff in my school were well qualified and experienced. The teachers not only taught us the subjects but also they prepared us for various other activities such as quiz, cultural activities and sports.  All the staff and teachers are punctual and dedicated. They are the ones because of which I am here like this. They taught us discipline, punctuality and self-belief. They never scolded for getting bad or low marks in exams, but always motivated us to work even harder than before.

Memories

Memories are the part of everyone’s life, someone said in my school essay. A person always remembers the days he has passed, mostly the good ones. The memories are the experiences any person gets in one’s life. The memories spent in school are said to be the golden memories in my school essay. The period of school life, is the treasure to cherish for the rest of life. The school plays an effective role in our life – beginning till the end.

Conclusion

In a person’s life, my school essay is a journey, which never had a destination. It is said to be the golden time period of learning in the life of students. The importance of school life can never be questioned. We get a life learning experience, that whatever we do will do the best. It is during school we have blessed with best ever friends for the rest of our life. I never studied in the nursery but I consider school to be the nursery of life. What we learn in school remains with us for the rest of our life. The school life cannot be summarized, it the best essay of our lives, titled my school essay.
